Etihad Airways has announced about operating a special flight to New York on May 15 for the USA citizens who would like to return home. The departure of the flight from Abu Dhabi and land at New York’s JFK airport.
Last week, it was announced that some UAE residents are allowed to return to the country, but only those, who have received approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC). Any UAE residents stuck outside the UAE will need to complete a Twajudi form to apply for approval.

Manila: 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 27, 29 and 30 May
Melbourne: 20 and 27 May
Seoul: 22 and 29 May
Singapore: 20 and 27 May
Tokyo: 20 and 27 May
Airlines implement additional precautionary measures including temperature scans on arrival, protective screens at check-in, gloves and masks. It is highlighted that passengers ‘will undertake PCR and thermal testing when they arrive in UAE and are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
At the same time, Emirates will start some scheduled passenger flights from May 21. Next week, Emirates will operate flights to nine cities in eight countries, including connections from London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne. However, all the passengers will have to “comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries.”
