UAE nationals have the opportunity to get their houses disinfected for free in Umm Al Quwain. To use this service, you just need to call the civil defense department at 067067171. The initiative was published on official Instagram account of the department.
Col Dr Salem bin Hamdah, director-general of the UAQ Civil Defence Department, said the latest directive is part of the National Sterilisation Programme. “It will take effect from the beginning of June. Our well-trained teams will carry out the entire sanitization operation with eco-friendly materials.”
It was pointed out, that the family head or landlord must be present during the disinfection process. The service is totally free of charge, as it aimed at reducing the number of infected people. Also, it was added that during the process of disinfection, robots have been used.
Emirati national asked the department to focus more on labor camps to get back to regular life. “These places are often over-crowded and need to be given priority in the disinfection operation to ensure not only workers’ safety but also the wellbeing of the entire community.”
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
