During disinfection procedures throughout UAE, which will last until April 5, community members are encouraged to stay at home. Sanitation measures are carried out from 08:00 PM to 06:00 AM and will include the disinfection of public utilities and public transport. Leaving home at this time is only possible if you need to buy food or medicine, and it is also allowed for workers in vital sectors. In other cases, permission to exit was required.
But the Ministry of Interior reported that due to the willingness of people to demonstrate discipline and stay at home, the need to obtain permits is no longer required and such documents are canceled. The message of the Ministry states: «In response to the commitment of the public and
their adherence to all precautionary measures suspending all permits, programs, and applications of vehicles nationwide during the implementation of the National Disinfection Programme».
At the same time, representatives of public services can still ask for confirmation of the reason for being on the street and a fine is prescribed for violating the rule.
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
