As of Wednesday, May 27, Dubai will restore the operation of many business activities that had been closed as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19. Alongside, residents will be allowed to move freely between 06:00 AM and 11:00 PM, provided following preventive rules.
From tomorrow there will be open:
• Cinema halls;
• Leisure establishments;
• Sports institutions, indoor gyms;
• Entertainment attractions;
• Recreational venues such as Dubai Ice Rink and Dubai Dolphinarium.
But, strict guidelines still apply, for example, Dubai gyms will be carrying out deep cleaning and sanitization. As it was stated, sports facilities and all tools and equipment must be sanitized by an authorized sterilization company, and between sports equipment will be installed separators or partitions.
Gyms in residential buildings will be available with pre-booking. People with a cough, temperature, or difficulty breathing will not be allowed to enter sports facilities. Temperatures will be checked before each training session. Dubai Sports Council has made an exception to mask rule when gym-goers are engaged in strenuous physical activity.
However, all other facilities and institutions must adhere to stringent measures in place, including a maximum capacity of 30 percent in each venue; children under the age of 12 and people over the age of 60 aren’t allowed to enter; a distance of two meters between individuals is obliged at all times, and masks will need to be worn.
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
