Dubai Government sets a new list of regulations to resume operation of live events, indoor and outdoor concerts, celebrations, and meetings. A circular states the measures that all venues will have to follow are a part of plans to restore those activities.
Indoor events
The main rule is concerning total capacity, an individual should have 4 meters around. At concerts, there has to be a gap of 2 seats between each group of people or individuals, including the VIP sections.
Event organizers should make a staggered entry for ticket holders to avoid gatherings, while guests leaving show should go row-by-row through the marked walkaway. Online tickets are preferable but still floor markers should be put before box office to ensure social distancing in the line.
Both guests and staff are obliged to wear masks during the event; performers are allowed to act without masks if there is at least 4 meters away from the audience. Physical interaction with performers and fans is strictly prohibited at the moment.
Standing events
To avoid physical contact, there will be floor markers for guests to navigate in the venue to adhere to the correct distance from each other. Entry and exit will allow only one group at a time to avoid overcrowding.
After every event and during regular time intervals, sanitization of the venue, all assets, equipment, and public areas must be undertaken. Also, the provision of hand sanitizer dispensers across the facility is mandatory.
The list of events that are currently permitted:
– MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions);

However, nightclubs and city promotions are excluded from the list. While such private events as weddings will see limitations of capacity – each table must be at least 2 meters apart, with a max. of 4 guests per table. If they belong to the same group, a max. of 10 people can be seated together.
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
