The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management issued a press release stating that Dubai will start to welcome international tourists from 7 July 2020. It was also confirmed with the message “Dubai is Open” made by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
After lifting travel restrictions, as of June 23, Dubai residents and citizens who’ve been stuck overseas will be allowed to return, provided they have finalized the approval process.
All international tourists will have to meet some requirements for visiting Dubai:
– Tourists should ensure valid health insurance in order to enter the country;
– Tourists will need to download the COVID-19 DXB app and register on it;
– Tourists will need to fill the “Health Declaration Form”;
– Tourists must do a PCR test with a maximum validity of four days (96 hours) ahead of the date of departure and then show the results. If proof can’t be provided, such traveler will undergo a PCR test at the airport;
– All passengers will undergo thermal screenings airport;
– If the test positive to COVID-19, a traveler will have to isolate themselves at an institutional facility provided by the government for 14 days at his/her own expense.
