According to the latest guidelines, all passengers coming to Dubai will need to have a negative PCR test before traveling. The PCR results were accepted only from the shortlist of approved testing facilities, now Dubai has added more centers to the list to make traveling easier.
Also, it is noted that the test results must be dated no more than 96 hours before entering Dubai. The new list of approved labs is prepared for every traveler flying into Dubai whether a tourist, resident or connecting passenger.
The updated guidelines on testing facilities for the UK claim “any clinic or laboratory can be used but the PCR test has to be approved by the Public Health authority e.g. Public Health England, Wales or Scotland”.
The Emirates travel information states “If you are flying from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, you must get your certificate from one of these labs. “If you are flying from any other country, you can either use the recommended laboratories in the same document or any trusted and certified laboratories in your country of origin”.
For returning to UAE, residence visa holders must obtain a valid GDRFA approval before booking their flight. Emirates can assist with this process either online or through its contact center.
Some passengers will have to undergo repeated PCR tests on arrival at the airport. After that, these travelers must spend time in isolation until receiving a negative test result and download the COVID-19 DXB app.
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
