The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai in accordance with the recommendations of COVID-19 Command and Control Center has adopted a number of fundamental rules for different groups.
Masks are required for all people, but there are some exceptions. In particular, such groups may not wear a mask outside the home: children under six years of age, people of determination, if wearing a mask can lead to negative consequences for their condition, as well as people with respiratory or other diseases who require additional oxygen or have difficulty in breathing.
There are also a number of conditions under which the mask can be removed. This can be done if the person is in the car, either alone or with members of his family. Also, the mask can be removed when eating in a public place, and also during physical training or other physical activity, during which wearing a mask can be risky, such as swimming. It is also allowed when being in a public place alone, for example, in the office, or during medical or cosmetic procedures that require a mask to be removed.
All these measures have been taken to ensure public safety and reduce health risks. Their introduction was preceded by a comprehensive review of similar practices and rules in other countries and a deep assessment of the current situation.
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
