One of the methods that the Dubai authorities are introducing due to an outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) is the disinfection of the city streets.
The Dubai Municipality, which has decided on such measures, assures that street sterilization will be carried out using high-quality disinfectants. The campaign began on March 20 and is planned to continue for 11 days till the end of the month. The actions are carried out jointly by the Dubai Municipality, the Roads and Transport Authority, the police and other official services.
It is planned to cover about 95 streets with cleaning measures. Disinfection was started from Al Rigga Street and will cover all the streets and roads of the city. Special disinfection teams will spray cleaning agents on the road surfaces and all objects on the streets, including cars. In this case, different types of spraying devices will be used, including steam cleaners, so that property damage will not be caused. Representatives of the municipality urge not to gather in those places where disinfection measures are currently being carried out so as not to interfere with their conduct and ensure complete safety.
The authorities of Dubai, other emirates and the entire UAE are currently conducting a number of actions that are aimed at combating the spread of coronavirus. Including such measures as the ban on the operation of entertainment facilities, stopping the issuance of entry visas of any type, recommendations on distance work and adherence to the principles of social distance, and much more. All such measures are aimed at maintaining public health and safety.
Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus which is causing illness in humans and animals. Most people infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus will feel mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. Older people, as well as those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, cancer or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness, and require immediate assistance. Novel Coronavirus was first identified in a cluster with pneumonia symptoms in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China, quickly spreading around the world. On early March 2020, the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic had officially started, becoming the defining global health crisis of our time. Today, it is the greatest challenge people have faced since World War II, worsened by subsequent lockdowns of whole countries, collapse of entire industries, and a major economic recession.
