Earlier, the Dubai Metro was closed as a preventive measure to combat the spread of coronaviruses. Metro stations have remained closed since April 4, the main reason for stopping their work was to prevent a large number of people from being in the same space and to increase the risk of transmission of the virus.
The Roads and Transport Authority announced the decision to open stations for use by passengers and resume train traffic. At the same time, the order is provided for passengers to comply with certain restrictions.
Passengers will have to comply with all preventive precautions, and safety measures such as maintaining the distance between people that must be observed both inside the train and inside the stations. RTA has developed such recommendations for passengers to use the Dubai Metro: wearing a mask, maintaining a distance of 2 meters, and seating in designated seats.
