Alserkal Avenue and FRDG FRinge invite everyone for the presentation of the “Flare” album launched by Joanna Marsh who is one of today’s leading composers for the voice. Also, she is known as a Co-Founder of ChoirFest Middle East in Dubai, an annual celebration of the region’s choral music scene or a “melting pot of cultures” how Joanne named it.
The Fridge will showcase composer, Joanna Marsh with her solo album “Flare” including interviews, debates, and presentations. This launch will vary numerous Joanne’s works for local and international productions. It will be the first viewing of a newly commissioned film (created by Ivo Lemmerlijn with illustrations by Harriet Morris) that has been created to showcase her work – “Pearl of Freedom”.
Joanne has written in her first 10 years in Dubai music for clips of the performances by the BBC Singers, BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Choir of Royal Holloway, London Mozart Players, and Onyx Brass; and the most recent, opera “My Beautiful Camel” for the Contemporary Opera in New York, “The Falcon and the Lion” for the British Embassy in Dubai.
