McGettigan’s Presents Comedyfest 2018

McGettigan’s Presents Comedyfest 2018 - Coming Soon in UAE
11 January - 12 January 2018
Dubai |

The annual McGettigan’s Comedyfest will take place from 11th to 12th of January, 2018 at the McGettigan’s JLT & The Baggot, Dubai.

The festival will see some of Ireland’s top stand up’s taking to the stage in The Baggot: Fred Cooke, Karl Spain, Barry Murphy, Eric Lalor.

Fred Cooke delivers a unique brand of comedy through his musical prowess and wildcrafted physical storytelling. He’s been seen preparing a choral spectical surprise at a proposal in the Electric Picnic, embarrassing one of his fans at the Vodafone Comedy Festival, and proposing to an unexpected lady in Dublin City Centre.

No stranger to the Comedyfest stage at McGettigan’s is Limerick comedian Karl Spain who first came on to the scene in 2000. Known for his self-deprecating style, his material often focuses on male “laddish” culture.. Karl is a resident writer for the Republic of Telly and for countless other comedians.

Barry Murphy is an Irish comedian whose notable appearances include a starring role in Apres Match. As a member of Mr Trellis, he founded The Comedy Cellar in Dublin in 1989. He mostly appears as his German alter ego Gunther Grun and was recognised as one of The 10 Kings Of Irish Comedy over the last twenty years by Hot Press.

Fair City star and comedian Eric Lalor is back to MC the event. Lalor’s gags always hit the spot! Don’t miss out on the laughter – get your tickets to the funniest party in town.
